The Sick, the Dying... and the Dead! is the upcoming sixteenth studio album by American thrash metal band Megadeth, set to be released on September 2, 2022, on the Universal Music Group label. The album features Dirk Verbeuren on drums, who joined the band in 2016, and is the first album without bassist David Ellefson, who was fired from the band due to a sex scandal. The album was preceded by the successful Dystopia album, which won the band their first Grammy award for Best Metal Performance.
